Plan & Escape is an independent editorial travel publication for curious travellers who believe the best journeys are not measured by how much we see but by how deeply we experience a place. Through destination stories, thoughtful guides and photography, I explore places through curiosity, culture, design and the quiet moments that make travel memorable. Because every place has a personality. The joy is discovering it.
Stories are my escape
Plan & Escape began in 2020, from a tiny apartment in Copenhagen. During a time when the world suddenly became much smaller. When travelling stopped, I started dreaming.
I found myself collecting places I wanted to visit, beautiful hotels I hoped to stay in, neighbourhood cafés to tick off, train journeys to take, mountains I wish to climb one day and little details that reminded me there was still so much of the world left to discover. What began as a creative escape became something more. A place to collect stories. To document journeys. To understand places beyond their landmarks.
Today, Plan & Escape is where I share the kind of travel I always hoped to find myself: thoughtful, personal and rooted in genuine experience. Not simply where to go but why somewhere feels worth going in the first place.

Hej, I’m Malin.
A storyteller based in Copenhagen and the curious mind behind Plan & Escape. I plan the journeys, write the stories and take every photograph you see here.
I’m endlessly fascinated by architecture, local culture, neighbourhood wine bars, thoughtful design and the small details that give places their identity.
I’m also the person who plans an entire trip around a beautiful library, spends far too long in vintage shops, walk an extra hour to find a beautiful street and always stop to admire an interesting building.
Everything published here is based on my own experiences and genuine curiosity.
